RULES OF
PLAY
16 minute
halves with clock stopping the last 2 minutes of the game.
If a team has a 20 or more point lead, the clock will not stop.
3 time outs in a game.
1 additional time out per overtime.
1st
overtime is 2 minutes. 2nd
overtime is sudden death.
No 1/2 ct. zone
defense or ½ ct. zone traps at all levels
4TH GRADE - NO PRESSING
5th
and 6th – No pressing until last 2 minutes of the game.
If a team is leading by 10 or more points, they can’t press.
7th
and 8th
– Full court press allowed up to a 15 point lead.
Pressing can’t resume until lead is at 10 points.
All
technical fouls will be 2 points and the ball.
If a player
or coach is assessed 2 technicals, they will be ejected from the game and gym
for the reminder of the game.
All referee decisions are final. No protests will be allowed.
All divisions will use the women’s ball(28.5).
Each team must provide a person to run the clock or keep the book.
